Miley Ray Cyrus's actual name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23 1993, in Franklin Tennessee, she was raised at Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. Her siblings include two half-brothers and half-sisters, as well as an older brother, sister and half-sister. Her parents named her because they believed she could achieve greatness. Miley was changed to Smiley as a young girl that she was awarded because of her cheerful nature. Her father was a Democratic politician whose name was Ron Cyrus. Cyrus was the first student at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. Cyrus moved with her family Toronto Canada when she was 8 years old. Cyrus' father Billy Ray was cast in Doc (2001). In the same year, Cyrus also decided to be an actor. Her first role came alongside her father in Doc (2001). Also, Cyrus had a role in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus performed the role of Hannah Montana for Hannah Montana (2007), a Disney television series that follows the life of a girl who has a double existence as an actress. Again her father acted alongside the actress in her. The song became a huge hit, and soon sold-out tours were announced, as well as the signing of merchandising contracts. Cyrus was a teen-sized star. Cyrus started to play different roles after her popularity in the film Hannah Montana (2006). This included roles as Ronnie Miller (in The Last Song, 2010) and Lola (in LOL (2012)), alongside Demi Moor.
